Milky Craft Workshop & Storytelling

Join Mai Takeda, author of bi-lingual picture book, Milky, for an afternoon of craft and storytelling!

Milky is a storybook in English and Japanese about weaning, eating healthy food and nutrition. In Japan, it is quite common for moms to draw ghosts on their breasts when it’s time to stop breastfeeding. Milky, the boobie ghost, helps teach children about eating delicious food after saying goodbye to breastmilk/formula. The storybook includes many soft, watercolor illustrations of food that children love. It’s time to say goodbye to breastmilk/formula!

– Storytelling both in Japanese and English

– Water color craft

– Japanese Onomatopoeia Games
