Join us for an evening with travel writer, Nina Karnikowski as she chats to Zoe Marshall about her new book Make a Living Living: Be Successful Doing What You Love.
Make a Living Living is for anyone who has ever wished they could build a successful career doing something they love. Structured around the stories of inspiring individuals, from a vegan chocolatier to a nomadic photographer and a tiny-house builder, the book explains how they achieved their ideal existence, and the challenges they faced along the way. A set of practical exercises helps readers learn how to trust themselves, take risks and develop the skills needed to achieve their ideal life.
6:00pm arrivals for 6:30pm start.
“Make a Living Living is the antidote to today’s consumption-driven, wealth and status obsessed culture that we do desperately need. How many of us are slaves to jobs that we hate and have chosen careers that stifle our creativity and limit our potential – only to be able to buy the latest designer trends and vacation at the most Instagrammable places? Nina paints purposeful living as aspirational, adventurous and elegant in its simplicity.”
– Nathalie Kelley, actress
“Seeking out the most interesting creative professions, from a supper-club host to a tiny-house builder, Karnikowski intentionally selects people who are self-made, proving that living the dream is achievable for anyone with enough passion.”
Nina Karnikowski created a living living by fusing her two passions: writing and travelling. Based in Byron Bay, Australia, she writes travel stories for newspapers, magazines and websites. Nina’s career has seen her journeying through Mongolia in ex-Russian military vehicles, exploring the Namibian desert in open-sided safari trucks and dodging icebergs in Antarctica in an icebreaker ship, and beyond, to over 60 countries.
