(Miracle Island – The Tale of Thursday Island)  is a story inspired by the miraculous tale of an Australian woman searching for her Japanese father on Facebook. She was finally reunited with her Okinawan father who had left Thursday Island more than 50 some years ago without meeting her.

Author, Hiroki Iijima will talk about ‘a strange sequence of meaningful and coincidental events’ that not only connected Thursday Island and Okinawa, but also Australia and Japan, people to people, heart to heart.

Author, Theatre Director and Film Director, Roger Pulvers will join the event and talk about his relationship with Hiroki.

The event will be moderated by Hisae Kato, former Japanese TV presenter and voice and motion picture creator who lives in Sydney.
