Australian Books – Worth Fighting For?

Australian Books – Worth Fighting For?

This National Bookshop Day, we are pleased to host a panel discussion with notable Australian authors Nikki Gemmell, Garth Nix (Goldenhand), Michael Robotham, and Phillipa McGuinness, editor of the book Copyfight. The panel will be hosted by James Kellow, CEO of Harper Collins Australia, and will focus on the recent proposals to repeal the Parallel Importation Restrictions in Australia – a decision that will significantly impact the Australian book industry.

This is a not‐to‐be‐missed discussion on a crucial issue that will potentially negatively impact Australian book creators, book sellers and book lovers alike. We will be asking the very important question: Australian books – are they worth fighting for?

For more information on the issue, read our blog post or visit Books Create Australia and join the conversation at #bookscreate.
