We Are La Cocina: Recipes in Pursuit of the American Dream
Beloved by chefs and food media, integral to the San Francisco food scene, and hosts of the best street food party San Francisco will ever know, La Cocina is an organisation like no other. Beyond supporting the production and recognition of good food and foodways from all over the world, La Cocina’s aims include social justice, inclusion, and offering entrepreneurial opportunity to women and recent sometimes undocumented immigrants.
In this, their first cookbook, more than 20 successful graduates of the kitchen incubator are featured via narratives and recipes. A starry roll of food world supporters of La Cocina will be featured introduction by Gabrielle Hamilton, blurbs from the likes of David Chang and more than 200 photographs by award-winning photographer Eric Wolfinger show the variety of personalities, foods, and restaurants via plated, atmospheric, and portrait shots.
