In the course of traveling the subways of London, New York and Paris during his frequent business trips, Mark Jowett became fascinated by all the different characters he would see traveling underground. He began to make up stories surrounding the passengers he would meet in the Paris Metro, the London Underground and the New York Subway. Eventually he wrote nine stories in total-three for each city. Each story also includes the theme of music and an almost-criminal act, beyond the common thread of being connected with the subway. The stories are collected here, in Tubers, illustrated by Matthias Lechner.
